Eligibility Criteria

To benefit from the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Occupation: Engaged in one of the 18 identified traditional trades, self-employed in the unorganized sector.​
  • Loan History: Should not have availed loans under similar central or state government schemes in the past five years.​
  • Family Participation: Only one member per family is eligible.​
  • Employment Status: Individuals employed in government services and their family members are not eligible.​

Benefits Offered by PM Vishwakarma Yojana

The scheme provides a comprehensive support system to artisans and craftsmen:

  1. Recognition and Certification
    • Beneficiaries receive a PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card, officially recognizing their skills and trade.​
  2. Skill Development Training
    • Basic Training: 5-7 days (40 hours) with a stipend of ₹500 per day.​
    • Advanced Training: 15 days (120 hours) for interested candidates, also with a ₹500 daily stipend.​
  3. Toolkit Incentive
    • A grant of ₹15,000 to purchase essential tools and equipment post-training.​
  4. Financial Assistance
    • First Loan: Collateral-free loan of ₹1 lakh, repayable within 18 months.​
    • Second Loan: An additional ₹2 lakh upon timely repayment of the first loan, repayable within 30 months.​
    • Interest Rate: Concessional rate of 5% per annum.​
  5. Digital Transaction Incentive
    • ₹1 per digital transaction, up to 100 transactions monthly, promoting digital literacy and financial inclusion.​
  6. Marketing Support
    • Assistance with quality certification, branding, promotion on e-commerce platforms, participation in trade fairs, and advertising to enhance market reach.​

Registration Process

To enroll in the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, artisans and craftsmen should follow these steps:

  1. Visit a Common Service Centre (CSC):
    • Carry essential documents: Aadhaar card, mobile number, bank details, ration card, caste certificate, and passport-sized photographs.​
  2. Complete Mobile and Aadhaar Verification:
    • CSC officials will assist with mobile verification and Aadhaar eKYC.​
  3. Fill Out the Artisan Registration Form:
    • Provide accurate personal and occupational details.​
  4. Obtain PM Vishwakarma Digital ID and Certificate:
    • After successful verification, download the digital ID and certificate from the official portal.​
  5. Apply for Scheme Benefits:
    • Access various benefits through the Vishwakarma portal using the provided credentials.​
