Patta Chitta are land records in Tamil Nadu that prove land ownership. They are important for buying or selling land, solving legal issues, and government use.
Patta Chitta is an official land record in Tamil Nadu that proves land ownership and provides important details. It includes: Owner’s name, Land survey number, Land size, Type of land (Nanjai – wetland / Punjai – dry land), Location (village, taluk, district).
Earlier, Patta and Chitta were separate documents, but since 2015, they have been merged into one for easier record-keeping.

View Patta/Chitta/FMB (Rural/Natham)
- To check Patta/Chitta/FMB for Rural and Natham visit the official eservices.tn.gov.in portal.
- Then Select the View Patta/Chitta/FMB – (Rural/Natham) options from services.
- Select your District, Taluk, and Village, select any option from Patta Number or Survey Number, and enter the Number.
- After that, enter the Mobile Number and click on Get OTP, then Confirm the OTP and submit it.
- As a result, your Patta Chitta Details will appear on your screen. You will get the Owner’s name, Land survey number, Land size, Type of land (Nanjai – wetland / Punjai – dry land), Location (village, taluk, district).
- Click on the Print button to download it in a PDF file.
Verify Patta Chitta – (Rural/Natham)
- To Verify Patta/Chitta for Rural and Natham, visit the official eservices.tn.gov.in portal.
- Then select the Verify Patta/Chitta – (Rural/Natham) option from services.
- Enter the Patta/Chitta details (reference number), enter the Mobile Number and Confirm the OTP then enter Authentication Value and Submit.
